SPANISH | The Structure of Spanish (4th year)

Course Description
This course examines the linguistic logic that underlies the Spanish language. We explore the foundations of the Spanish sentence, with particular interest in grammar. This course also provides an introduction to formal analysis of Spanish and covers topics in Spanish morphology (analysis of the word structure) and syntax (analysis of the sentence structure).
Prerequisite: Advanced Spanish Grammar, Spanish Phonetics, an introductory course to Linguistics

Learning Goals
At the end of this class the students should be able to:
1. Have an understanding of the morphological and syntactic structures of Spanish
2. Perform linguistic analysis of Spanish words and sentences
3. Have reinforced their Spanish grammatical skills
